Chillax,Graduate (parte v)

Will start today’s article with my all time fave hindi movie namely three idiots, when the imperial college principle was addressing the students, he said life is a race, you either run or get squashed.

That statement applies to us but for today am not talking about running and talking about tolerance, life is a race yea but if you live in daressalaam you it’s not a race. This is because there will always be a traffic jam some place always.

Am not from there but we usually see and hear of traffic jams and so on. So in traffic jams is where I would like to set my theme for today’s title tolerance. In life is not all about running but it’s about maintaining pace between what you had, who you are and who you want to be.

See the same person has a past, present and future now tolerance is how you live now with learnt experience of the past making or creating a better future that’s tolerance.

Am not conflict with the one who said the past is past or bygones be bygones what am saying is that let all the past be a learnt experience which will help you make moves today that are not from scratch but from a reference that will help you reach point in the future.

In a traffic jam there is always a slow/gradual movement towards the common place, in life that’s how we are some people maybe going fast in the route and you going slow it doesn’t matter what matters is your tolerance to wait to finish because even after the jam what’s next is a smooth ride to compensate wasted time…

Learn to take time and tolerate what is thrown at you..

Pa…

Apart from today being Father’s Day, I had in me to write this article after watching “breakthrough” a movie about the powerful prayer of a parent.

Also I write this because of the nickname Baba Mzazi that I recently found myself been given.

Being a father or a Male parent is never easy neither being a mother but a father is a figure that has a different point of being viewed.

This article can’t be expressed only by a single person but since its my version. What scares me most about being a father is ?

I know time will reach and I’ll be a father, having kids is a fantastic dream but is also scary that what if the kids dont turn out the way you want? Our fathers or parents nurtured us to the way that we are right now, I’m who I’m now just because they dared to take care and nurture me through this road.

I was a kid back then and I know without a doubt that I was very stubborn growing up and reaching this level definitely I know I was stubborn. No need to be told I was. But they took care of me .

My greatest fear of becoming a father is will my kid keep my teachings, what I will tell him or her also what will I teach her or him? How can I protect my kids around this world of technology with everything you seek being available at my kid’s hand??

If this is your worries then welcome to the team, fathers to be… I haven’t figured the dad ship yet but what I know is that kids are always gonna learn from what they see their parent figure always do. How do I know that this is from me I’m here because I grabbed what my father was doing so the insecurities that comes from you taking care of the kids that you have or going to have all lies on the way you are around them.

” an apple doesn’t fall far from the apple tree.” You are your kids.

In the above statements I haven’t said that being a father is easy I just said it’s easy for kids learning from what they are exposed too.

Being a father is not a part time job or something that you do when you’re free but it’s always being there for the kid you have. Building up memories with them and in the end believing they are grownup enough to be the better version of you. So never teach a kid to be as you but better than you.

Cheers to dads in heaven
Cheers to dads in earth
Cheers to dads to be..
Happy fathers day

What do people say of who you are

What kind of face do people see you in

When one needs to get a job he or she gets to prepare a very good CV that will convince the employer to have them employed. Apart from the career CVs that we fight for to make them better to get our jobs we do not have to forget that we have our life CVs as well to create.

Have you ever got to ask yourself on what people say about you, talk of you, see you? What kind of face are you seen In by the people around you, society, friends, family? What kind of CV are you writing or preparing for them to talk good of ?

We struggle creating good CVs for our careers but we forget that we also need to create good CVs in our lifes too. The good Book says “it’s better a good name than a good scent”. So what name are you making, what face are you trying to show to people. Is it that one which every one gets to point fingers on you, despise you and speak.bad of you or is it that one which people get to speak good of you and get to create or make a good reputation in front and to everyone around you.

Lets take an example of you dying today, imagine yourself attending your own funeral, you get see people crying, sobbing, people in pain just bcoz you are gone. When it reaches that time when they get to start reading or saying about you, what would you like to hear, as a daughter or son, nephew or niece, husband or wife, friend, work partner, what would you want to hear from them saying of you? All this is prepared here, now right this moment with whoever you are with, the way you live with them, talk to them, help them, take them with their weaknesses, deal with them so on and so forth. This kind of CV is worth living, create one to live a good memory. Live by creating that face or name or CV to be remembered and not forgotten. You’ll still get to live after leaving.

Pay It Foward

Reflection.
Do good and the good will come back to you.

One day a mother and her son were having good time together, suddenly the mother started coughing and having a hard time in breathing, the son knew what she was suffering from (Asthma) but did not know how to help his mother because she had no any inhaler with her. The boy got out and went to a pharmacy so that he could help his mother get an inhaler. He reached there and found himself with no money. Remembering his mother’s situation back home he was not left with choice but to steal one of the inhalers that were being sold in that pharmacy. The seller saw him stealing and started chasing him, when they were out in a Chase the seller finally caught him in a corner and banged him on a wall so hard, he started questioning him, the kid knowing his mother’s condition tried fighting back. Then appeared a woman and asked what’s the chaos all about and the seller said that the kid stole an inhaler from his pharmacy and the kid replied I have no money I’m just trying to help my mom she’s sick, she’s dying. That woman looked at the kid and asked the seller how much the inhaler cost, the seller told her the amount. The woman dug into her purse and gave out the amount that was mentioned and the seller left. The kid was so surprised by the action that the woman did and he had to ask her “you do not know me neither have we met before, why did you help me?”. The woman looked at the kid and gave him a piece of paper and told him go help your mother. When he reached home, he gave his mother the inhaler and the mother got saved from the situation. The kid went in his room and opened that piece of paper and he saw these words PAY IT FORWARD.

Years passed and the kid grew up into a doctor. One day a patient came and had no enough money to pay for the treatments. The one attending to the patient told her that “we can’t help you so you just go back and look for somebody who can give the help”. Over a sudden that kid (currently the doctor) came inside that very room and told the one attending the patient “I’ll be in charge of everything just leave it all to me”. The patient was then helped, given a room and a bed to sleep so as she could be treated. After a while the doctor(kid) went inside the room where the patient lied and asked about her wellbeing. She was so thankful for what the doctor did to her. But she was in a doubt and had to ask why did you help me? The doctor smiled and took a paper from his coat and gave it to the woman it was written “PAY IT FORWARD”.

This woman was the very same lady who helped the doctor the other day back in time.

What you reap is what you sow. Just as the Newton’s third law state “For every action there is an equal but opposite reaction”. Just do good and the good will definitely come back to you.

Bless up.
