Work for it.

Well I was opportune to travel to a certain city for a team capacity building and the travelling was fine, but my task was with the media committee..

Well pre the training we had to set some stationeries to be used inside the training, example the training banner, notepads, name tags and even the layout for some templates for the training.

Then the issue of coverage and photo and memories keeping we needed a camera. Well the process was at first easy since I and the team were to move to a different region it would have been logical to go get a camera from the place we were going..

Well that wasn’t the best idea well the best move was us moving with our tools but we didn’t and that was fine at first .

They say if you fail to prepare you prepare to fail, and that’s what happened, see we thought that it would be easy to get equipments just because once we had a project in that region and we were able to acquire equipments, little did we know that time is a varying factor ..

We failed to acquire equipments not because we didn’t have money to rent it but just because we didn’t have the right people to sign off as collateral for us to get it..

We even tried putting our items on bond but it didn’t  work out.. THAT’S A WORLD LESSON RIGHT HERE.

See its not what you have,it’s what people have on you. Some people have blackmail abilities just because what they have on you is too much for the world around you to know.

But let’s talk about TRUST, they failed to rent out the equipments we want just because they didn’t trust us, even though the one that sent us to the place knew the place but they fail to give us the equipments just because they didn’t trust us.

Trust is something we have to work for. You can’t just build trust out of the blues, we have to work for it..

How many times have we work for something in our lives ? What was that one thing you wanted on spot and failed to get it until you had to work for it..

Just as trust is, some other abstract concepts in life you’ve to work alot in life. That’s what is required. We have to work for it, nothing comes easy in life, easy is bad.

Mind Block

The pass few weeks have been in a state called writer’s block.

imagine it has when you drive or ride a car and you come to a dead end, or a point that you can’t go forward as the way you were going or think you would go.

so by definition given by Google, hehehe writers block is a condition, primarily associated with writing
in which an author loses the ability to produce new work or experiences a creative slowdown. This loss of ability to write and produce new work is not a result of commitment problems or the lack of writing skills. The condition ranges from difficulty in coming up with original ideas to being unable to produce a work for years. Writer’s block is not solely measured by time passing without writing. It is measured by time passing without productivity in the task at hand.

I’ve been falling to this situation not once not twice but more times than i remember and the funny part is that this is not a disease but its a mental state, its all in the head.

I’ve been having titles to many articles and even some of them writings half a paragraph then stuck but others only a single word, which it always works when i have noted down a single word ideas falls through and i start writing down but when in WB I mostly find myself staring at my notepad with no words to write down..

what i wanna show you is in the backstage to all our articles they lay alot of unpublished articles.

Some few times i usually pick my kid brother from school and in his school they have this tap where they drink the water, as i was taking him off school to home i felt thirsty and decided to go drink some water in found a very long line so i decided to join it and off it started to move slowly till it was my turn. as i was moving along it opened my eyes as if the people in front of me and behind me they were all unfinished projects.

they’re unfinished projects until the primary goal of drinking water has been completed, the line showed me i was that all projects were leading to the same goal so i should learn to make them move one at a time and also see them through one at a time not to hesitate. and if it reaches to a point that i should pile them up pile em in a manner that you can work them out to the end to the end.

See in life we come into deadblocks because of just piling alot of things in our plates thinking that its easy to just place them some where but in the end we have alot to handle all because of piling them up.

learn to regulate what is on your plate as what comes in your mind and execute on thing to the end never be fast to procrastinate what you have in your mind.

Mind Your Standards

A Swahili line said “Usiwe kama jogoo akidhani kunakucha ili yeye tu Awike ” Translated to Don’t be like a cock thinking that the sun only rises for it to crow.

We say we have taste on different things, the taste we have are what we can call standards.

Life, aiiiiiiiii, Life has funny ways to prove us wrong and mostly it proves us wrong on what we have or what we are surrounded with. we put so much faith on what we have and we also put less faith sometimes from what we have too.

The first thing that life uses to prove us wrong is people, friends and family. We put standards due to our preference and taste we have undermine or underestimate people you meet, stay with, friends and even family. How many times have we been disappointed or been amazed by the people around us?

We judge, despise, humiliate, laugh at, criticize and hate in the name of standards. These standards have create a blurry vision of making our selves righteous in-front of those who we have not give them chance to explain or prove them selves. we feel it’s right to do so but it’s not.

The funny thing about the standards we put on people are first way up and off the charts unreasonable. Second the standards we keep are not known to people, people fail to understand what we want from them or what they should do or how to interact with us.

A perfect example of what am saying is ever find a person angry with another person simply because the other person has not texted or call? The standard here place by the person is that the other person is responsible for finding them.

While the sad reality is You miss a person text or call never wait, you love a person tell them, you need something ask.

By doing so meaning by judging, despise, humiliate, laugh at, criticize and hate we be like a cock and in our case we think we are a 100% perfect in-front of others.

Life does not work that way, we can’t live by putting standards that are not known we are all in a small circle called the globe with a lot of things in it. Don’t complicate life by adding more on the list and making headline to people’s problems
